Transneft Baltic Completes Scheduled Repairs at Oil Pipelines

Transneft Baltic has completed scheduled repairs at oil trunk pipelines (OTP) in Leningrad and Yaroslavl Regions.

During a planned 72-hour shutdown of oil transportation via the Surgut – Polotsk oil trunk pipeline at the Gorky – Yaroslavl-3 section, works to connect the OTP bypass line around the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station (PS) were carried out. A mainline pump unit was connected at the Yaroslavl-3 – Palkino section of the same oil pipeline.

During a 72-hour shutdown of the Palkino – Primorsk OTP, midlife repairs of 26 gate valves at the Palkino PS, 12 gate valves at the Pravdino line operation dispatcher station (LODS) and 9 gate valves at the Nevskaya LODS were carried out. In addition, three check valves and auxiliary pipelines were replaced.

The works were performed as part of Transneft Baltic’s technical upgrading and overhaul programme and repair and operational needs programme. The goal is to increase reliability of the operational equipment and ensure uninterrupted oil transportation. The oil pipelines are currently operating under the standard protocol. Oil transportation is carried out on schedule.
