Transneft Baltic Completes Scheduled Repairs at Yaroslavl – Kirishi 1 Oil Pipeline

Transneft Baltic has completed scheduled repairs at the Yaroslavl – Kirishi 1 oil trunk pipeline.

The works at the oil trunk pipeline with a diametre of 700 mm were carried out around the clock for 65 hours. During a scheduled shutdown of oil transportation, six newly constructed sections with a total lengh of 30 km on the territory of Yaroslavl and Leningrad Regions were connected.

The mainline pump was replaced at the Yaroslavl line operation dispatcher station. Midlife repairs of four gate valve and two pressure regulators were also performed at the LODS.

The piping of the collectors at the main pumping station of the Pravdino LODS was replaced.

The works were conducted under the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme to increase the reliability of the petroleum products transportation system.

Works safety, compliance with the technological requirements and work sequence is controlled remotely using video surveillance at all stages of repairs. Particular attention is paid to implementation of video surveillance as part of the measures take in the Year of Occupational Safety announced at Transneft.

The works were completed in accordance with the work statement. All the facilities are operating under the normal protocol. Oil transportation was resumed on schedule.
